Ayurveda is an ancient life science from 2000-3000 B. C. that uses the five elements as the primary basis for treating an individual.
Everything in our reality is made of the five elements and our body is no exception. The balance of these elements in our body is what Ayurveda focuses on as well as on the energetic channels that we have throughout the body. It is a holistic approach to healing our mind, body and soul!
Ayurvedic consulting refers to the practice of providing guidance, advice, and recommendations based on the principles of Ayurveda, which is a traditional system of medicine originating from India. Ayurveda is a holistic approach to health and wellness that focuses on achieving balance and harmony within the body, mind, and spirit.
During an Ayurvedic consultation, a qualified Ayurvedic practitioner or consultant assesses an individual’s unique constitution (prakriti) and current state of balance or imbalance (vikriti) through various methods, such as observation, pulse diagnosis, and questioning. This assessment helps the consultant understand the individual’s unique physical, mental, and emotional characteristics and their specific imbalances or health concerns.
Based on this assessment, the Ayurvedic consultant provides personalized recommendations to restore balance and promote well-being. These recommendations may include dietary changes, herbal remedies, lifestyle modifications, specific yoga or breathing exercises, meditation techniques, and other Ayurvedic therapies or practices.
The aim of Ayurvedic consulting is to support individuals in achieving optimal health by addressing the root causes of imbalances rather than merely treating the symptoms. It emphasizes the individual’s active participation in their own healing process and encourages a holistic approach that considers various aspects of their life, including diet, daily routine, relationships, work, and overall lifestyle.
